10 New Records Set @ The Eaton Invitational

Eaton, OH - Sunny, warm and record setting is the best way to describe the 27th Annual "Dean Stoltz" Eaton Invitational held on Saturday at the new Eaton Track & Field Complex.
10 New Records were set, or tied, at Saturdays meet, 3 of which were set by Eaton athletes.
Michelle McKinney continued her streak of record breaking performances by setting a new invitational 800m record of 2:22.57 breaking her old record of 2:23.27 set in 2013. Michelle also just missed out on breaking the 400m record by .3 tenths of a second.
Seth Wright set a new PR, SB and tied the Pole Vault meet record of 14' 0" which he now shares with former Eaton teammate Alan Sarver (Class of 2013).
Shane Hammock set a new Invite Record in the Hammer Throw with a throw of 97' 02"
Andy Newport, Shane Hammock, Seth Reynolds Zavier Spears and Seth Wright led the boys team to a 1st place finish in the team standings with high individual finishes and several new seasonal PR's. .
Andy Newport won the 3200m in a time of 10:29.13 and ran a leg of the 3rd place 4x400 relay.
Shane Hammock won the Hammer Throw with a New PR and Invite Record throw of 97' 2"
Seth Reynolds won both the 110 hurdles (15.54) & Long Jump (19' 6") as well as placing in the 300m Hurdles (43.76; 3rd) and High Jump (5' 6"; 6th).
Zavier Spears had a solid day in the 400m (51:67; 3rd), 200m (24.09:4th) and anchored the 3rd place finishing 4x400m relay and 2nd place 4x100 relay teams.
Seth Wright won the Pole Vault with a new PR of 14' 0" , placed in both the 110 Hurdles (17.12; 4th) and 300m Hurdles (43.70; 2nd).
Maddie Bowman, Michelle McKinney, Taylor Broermann, Stephanie Smith and Brittany George led the Lady Eagles to a 4th Place finish in the team standings.
Maddie Bowman placed in the Hammer Throw (77'8"; 2nd) with a new season PR.
Michelle McKinney was a double winner in the 400m (1:00.23) and 800m (2:22.57) and anchored the 4th place 4x400 meter relay.
Taylor Broermann won the 3200m Run (12:26.70) and also ran a leg of the 4th place 4x400 meter relay.
Stephanie Smith set a new PR and SB in the Pole Vault (8' 6"; 3rd place).
Brittany George had a pair of 3rd place finishes in the Shot Put (31' 2") and Hammer Throw (71' 2").
In all the invitational went very well thanks to the weather and great mid seasonal performances by the eagles.

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday as we host the Preble County Championships at the new Track & Field Complex. Then on Friday a select group of athletes will travel to the very competitive Wayne Invitational (Huber Heights) to compete against some of the best T&F athletes in the state of Ohio.
