Michelle McKinney Wins 1500 Meter Run @ UTSA Team Challenge
March 21, 2015 - Final results / UK Article
San Antonio, TX - Eaton Alumni Michelle McKinney made her collegiate outdoor track debut in style by winning the women's 1500 meter run (4:47.96) at the University of Texas San Antonio Team Challenge Invitational. McKinney coming off a successful indoor track season with PR's in the 800 Meters (2:10.32) and Mile Run (4:57.47) is looking for an even better outdoor track season.
Michelle and her UK Wildcat teammates will be traveling all across the US this spring participating in some of the nations toughest college invites. Up next will be the University of Florida Relays (Gainesville, FL), followed by the Oregon Pepsi Invite (Eugene, Oregon), Penn Relays (Philadelphia, PA), Kentucky Relays, Stanford Invite (Stanford, California) and SEC Championships (Starkville, Mississippi). Hopefully during this season Michelle will lock in a top 48 time (800 and/or 1500) in the NCAA Eastern Region which would qualify her for the NCAA East Preliminary Championships (Jacksonville, Florida) on May, 28th.
