Eagles Run Well @ Middletown Showdown
Middletown Showdown Results I Meet Pics
Middletown, Ohio – In the first Invitational of the season, the Eagles women’s and men's track and field team got off to a strong start to the season posting 4 first & 4 second place finishes. As a team the women finished 4th and the men finished 6th. Coach McKinney was especially pleased with the performances and overall team finished due to the fact that many Eaton tracksters didn't participate in the meet due to spring break.
Senior Eagles Caitlin Highley (Shot Put & Discus), Zanna Spears (300 M Hurdles) & Alan Sarver (Pole Vault) lead the way by all posting 1st place finishes. Caitlin Highley, recent Findley College signee, had a great start to her season by winning both the Shot Put and Discus. Great job Caitlin!
Following the Middletown Showdown, EHS will return to action the week of 4/13 with a trio of meets, the Hamilton Ross Relays (4/9), National Trail Blazers Relays (4/9) and the Troy Invitational (4/12). The week will be a split-meet week, as the "A" team will travel to the Ross Relays, while the rest of the team will compete at the NT Blazers Relays. On Friday the team will be consolidated to participate (two eagles per individual event & 4 per relay team) in the Troy Invitational in Troy OH.
