Seth Gard & Brooke Selby - Double Winners @ Preble Shawnee JH Invitational!
Gratis, OH - 4/12/2013 - The JH girls & boys participated in Preble Shawnee Invitational Friday evening with the boys team finished 4th and the girls team finished 5th.
Seth Gard lead the boys team by winning both the 1600 & 800 meter runs. Additionally, Seth broke the 1600 meter record (formerly held by Luke Peters - 4:57.3 - 1996) with a winning time of 4:53.5. The irony in the record setting performance being that the record was broke on the same track and Invite which Luke Peters set the record on back in 1996. Seth was also a member of the winning 4x400 m relay team. Great job Seth!
Brooke Selby lead the girls team with double wins in the 100 & 200 meter hurdles. What made the double win extra special is that this is the first time Brooke has ran the hurdles, individually, in an invitational.
In addition to Seth and Brooke's double wins the coaches were excited with all the eagle athletes performances. Congrats to all the JH athletes for a job well done!
The JH next meet will be this Thursday at the Dixie Invitational - New Lebanon, OH.
